What's The Purpose Of Testing?

Recent changes in a report due for work has me confused. For over a year I have been testing reports, sending reports online to the proper authorities, and getting positive feedback. For months I've been receiving emails confirming the live opening and what to expect. I've been to classes, watched web seminars, called and talked to the associates and been assured everything is ready for the live opening. Well, the date for the live opening has came and gone and everything is screwed up! A member don't exist, they have been terminated, yet they are still employed. I can't edit the member or do any reports because of this error. The experts assure me they are working on the problem and to 'bear with them' I'd like to know what happened to the pre-live opening testing and all the positive feedback I received when I haven't changed anything, yet I am getting error messages and can't do my reports. Customer service has been extremely apologetic, yet can't seem to fix the problem. Eight weeks behind, what's one more?

Well, another update...Eight weeks of reports done in one day! Whew! Yes, I have a headache! But at least I'm back on track only to begin year-end work! Blah!
